Win tickets to Kirstie Allsopp’s Handmade fair

Win tickets to Kirstie Allsopp’s Handmade fair

For those of you who watch Location Location Location, you may already know that Kirstie was set the massive challenge of finding me a house with enough room for a sewing studio, a place for waldo to run about and at least a cupboard for my partner who pays the mortgage.

Although she may have thought it was an impossible task she succeeded and now I’m in the process of slowly moving my fabric hoard to a new permanent home. It seems Kirstie has been extremely busy for not only did she scour the whole of the west midlands for my perfect sewing pad, she’s arranged for her awesome handmade fair to be held on my home turf. Just for me, of course. 🙂

Having already enjoyed three successful years at Hampton Court Palace, The Handmade Fair is launching a second event at Ragley Hall, Park and Gardens in May. Taking place from Friday 12th to Sunday 14th May 2017, The Handmade Fair at Ragley will bring together Britain’s best handmade products, crafts supplies, and artisan foods.

Three celebrity faces will be hosting the event over the 3 day’s with Kirstie taking the reigns on Friday, Liz Earle sitting pretty on Saturday and Patrick Grant concluding the event on Sunday.  Just like the Hampton court shows there will be crafting galore, sewing shoppers heaven and you can even buy VIP tickets that give you free flowing Prosecco! YES PLEASE.

To celebrate my Instagram feed reaching 5k of fantastic followers Kirstie has given me a massive 5 pairs of entry tickets that can be used for any day of the event to giveaway. I am giving 3 pairs away on my Instagram feed and 2 pairs over here. I will be attending the show on Sunday 14th May and I’m arranging a mini tea and chat meet-up for all the sewists who want a cuppa and a hug. I don’t want to get in the way of your crafting, shopping or Patrick stalking too much!

To win a pair of blog tickets please leave a comment below sharing which day you’d like to attend and why, and your Instagram feed name or email so I can contact you about ticket delivery.  For a chance to win a pair of tickets on my Instagram feed head over to the Giveaway post and follow the instructions.  You can enter both the blog and Instagram giveaway and the competition is open from now until 21st Feb 21.00h GMT.

If you simply can’t wait to win tickets or you like the sound of that free flowing Prosecco you can buy tickets now from The Handmade Fair website. I hope to see many of your faces during the event and good luck to all of you who enter the giveaway.

Terms and conditions:
  • Tickets are entry only and do not grant access to makes, VIP areas or Grand theater.
  • Tickets have no cash value and are non-transferable or to be sold. If in the event you are unable to attend after winning please contact me to reallocate your tickets.
  • Individuals can enter both Blog and Instagram giveaway but are eligible to win only one pair of tickets. If in the event the same individual wins two pairs of tickets another name will be randomly chosen.
  • The winners will be chosen by entering all the legal entry names into a random name generator.
  • Instagram entries will only be considered if they have followed all the requirements in the post.
  • If a winner does not respond to my email/contact within 5 days another winner will be chosen

  • ❤️️ Thank you. To each and everyone of you who supported me positively on my last post. Contrary to belief, I can be incredibly negative and the last month I've been in crisis with my depression over my failing physical health. To read I'm not alone (so much love to those who experience chronic illness), to know my mobility aids won't scare you off and that when I'm low I can read your words and feel comfort.... it means more that I can say. Life saving in fact. Thank you for not turning your back on me. #thisgirlcan ❤️️.

  • I have to admit that I'm very nervous about posting this photo. Today on my blog I'm sharing a personal side to my sewing whilst reviewing @fehrtrade's new book 'sew your own activewear' and looking at adapting patterns for my disability. I have for a long time hidden my walking aids behind the photographer and found it hard to come to terms with how by body has changed. Although the temptation to photoshop this image was strong, I have never doctored my pictures because this is my reality and I can't pretend otherwise. I'd really appreciate you popping over to have a read of my LYCRA loving journey. I feel like I've learned so much and hope that you can see that even if you're not a gym bunny, you can still have a bit of @fehrtrade in your life. ❤️️.

  • As I feel that my poor long suffering partner has been lumped with me, this card means an awful lot today. I'm spending v day in hospital getting MRI scans, which to be fair are probably the most expensive v day gift I've ever had. LOVE YOU NHS. .
I hate v day, so sending bitchy supportive vibes to all those who do to. DOWN WITH THIS SORT OF THING! Careful now!
  • Final sneak before my blog post. These coverstitch decorative details have an actual purpose... want to have a guess what it is? .
Also If you overlock/coverstitch you're going to NEED this fluffy nylon thread from @sewessentialuk. It's made a massive difference to my make.

  • Sexy sexy details are sexy. Can't quite believe I've made a functioning panel pocket IN SHINY LYCRA. To think once I couldn't even use jersey and thought you had to interface the whole fabric so you could cut it 🤔 yep. I don't know either 🤗 also, do any of you have to wash *themselves before trying on newly finished garments? Or is that just me... .
Fabrics: all from @stoffstil. Contrast neon thread (more to come on that front) @sewessentialuk. Pattern: from @fehrtrade 'sew your own active wear' ❤️️#sewyourownactivewear @sewandsouk
  • Of course I choose to do my first ever exposed zip on fabric that is pretty much water 👍😂 thanks to @tillybuttons excellent tutorial it went swimmingly 🏊🏻‍♀️.
